1. Initiating a Warranty Claim for Your mcFurbish iPhone: Step-by-Step Guide


If you need to send your phone for a warranty repair, here's how to do it:

  1. Fill in the Warranty Form 

    To get the process started, please complete the warranty form: https://mcFurbish.com/ie/returns/. This will help us better understand the issue with your phone.

  2. Back Up Your Data

    Before sending your phone for repair, make sure to back up all your files and data. This ensures your information remains safe during the repair.

  3. Careful Packing

    It's your responsibility to pack your phone carefully and protectively before sending it to mcFurbish. Your packaging should prevent any damage during transit.

. Check that your phone has been fully switched off.

. Pack the phone in a rigid package (eg. a cardboard box)

. Ensure that the phone is well cushioned and cannot move freely inside the package.

. Make sure that the phone cannot switch on inside the package.

. The outer package can not have any unnecessary markings , barcodes or labels. If you send your phone in a reused box, please remove or hide any previous labels and markings.

. Due to shipping restrictions related to lithium batteries, please do not send the phone if you have any reason to suspect the battery might be defective or faulty.

  1. Shipping Instructions

    Send your phone using the DHL Express shipping service provider. Keep in mind, you're responsible for your phone's safety until it reaches mcFurbish. For detailed instructions on how to use your DHL Express shipping label and schedule a pick up, please refer to this Return article.

  2. Special Handling

    If your package has any special markings on it, such as Fragile/Dangerous Goods, as it will require special handling during the delivery, you can be charged for additional delivery costs.

  3. International Shipments 

    If you are sending a phone from a country that is outside of the EEA (European Economic Area), you must cover the total shipping cost, including potential customs charges.

  4. Disable Find My iPhone

    Before sending your phone, please make sure to disable the "Find My iPhone" feature. We can't proceed with repairs or offer a replacement device, until this feature has been disabled. If this has not been disabled within a month after we have contacted you regarding this, we may proceed in returning the phone to you and charge for the delivery costs.

  5. Leave Out Accessories

    Please leave out any phone accessories when sending your phone for repair. mcFurbish can't guarantee the return of any accessories sent to us.

  6. Warranty repair process

    mcFurbish's warranty repair service takes around 10 business days, from the day your phone has arrived to us.


Please note that mcFurbish's devices are not covered by any Apple limited warranty or AppleCare plans.


2. mcFurbish's Warranty Processing Time: What to Expect


We strive to conclude our warranty repair service within an average of 10 business, starting from the day we receive the device. However, this time frame may be longer due to public holidays, spare parts availability, other unforeseen factors, and the complexity of the fault.

mcFurbish Repair Process

If we find a fault, our repair service will take care of the necessary repairs. In cases where spare parts are are not available, too expensive, or the phone isn't worth fixing, we'll provide you with a replacement phone that matches the original model, storage capacity and aesthetic condition of your original device.

If you require an official statement from mcFurbish for your insurance provider regarding the required mcFurbish repair, please note that you will be charged a €40 fee for this service.

4. Out-of-Warranty Repairs: What to Do When mcFurbish Warranty Expires


In the event that your mcFurbish Warranty™ has either expired or is voided, here's what you need to know:

At mcFurbish, we’re dedicated to finding the best solutions for our customers. In instances where your warranty is expired or voided, seeking assistance from local repair shops emerges as the most convenient and efficient choice.


5. The mcFurbish Warranty Policy Guide: Understanding Coverage and Claim Processes


  1. mcFurbish Warranty Duration

At mcFurbish, we provide a 12-month mcFurbish Warranty™ for all purchased phones. This warranty cover begins from the date of your initial purchase. It covers any detected faults, and we will take care of the repairs.

  1. What's Included in Our Warranty

All technical and mechanical issues: The standard mcFurbish warranty covers any technical and mechanical issues you may notice on your phone. This includes any problems with the camera, microphone, speakers, etc.

Guaranteed Fast Repair: We start repairing your phone within 24 hours of receiving it.

Possible Replacement Device: If we can't restore your phone to its previous condition, we may provide you with a replacement phone that matches your original model, storage capacity and aesthetic condition of your device.


  1. What's Not Covered

However, it's essential to understand what is not covered by the mcFurbish Warranty™:

User-Inflicted Damage:

If the fault on the phone is caused by actions resulting in physical damage, using the phone not for the purposes that it is intended for, or other negligent actions, we do not cover it.

Normal Wear and Tear:

Standard battery and regular wear of the phone, are not included in the warranty.

Screen Breakage or Cracking: 

Damage to the screen or back glass is not covered.

Software Faults:

Issues related to software are not included. e.g. Application errors and iCloud related issues.

Virus Removal:

We don't cover any virus or malware removal.

Improper Use:

Any damage resulting from improper or unusual use of the phone is not covered.

Opening the Phone:

Physically opening the hardware of the phone yourself.

Shipping Damage:

The warranty does not cover any damage incurred during shipping due to negligence. Take care when packing your phone, making sure it's secure before shipping, to prevent any potential issues.

Altered Serial/IMEI:

If the phone's serial number or IMEI has been tampered with.

Indirect or Financial Damages:

We do not provide any coverage for indirect or purely financial damages stemming from breakage of the phone, such as data loss.

Hardware Damage:

mcFurbish warranty is automatically voided if any features such as the glass, home button, camera, or others are noticeably damaged due to improper use.

Unauthorised Repairs:

The warranty becomes null, if you or any other third party conduct any repairs on the phone, without a   prior written consent from mcFurbish.

Water Damage:

Any damage from water exposure or bending of the phone is not covered. Be advised that all the phones mcFurbish is selling are refurbished and have been through a comprehensive control process. Therefore we cannot guarantee the original IP67- and IP68-certifications will remain valid.

If the device has sustained any damage while in your care, for optimal service regarding our warranty coverage, please refrain from sending devices with damage not covered under mcFurbish Warranty to us for repair.

mcFurbish Warranty excludes any issues such as cracked screens, camera damage, water damage, and more, as outlined in our warranty terms. In these cases, we recommend seeking alternative assistance from a local repair shop in your area.

  1. Ownership Changes

If you sell your phone within the 12-month warranty period, it is essential to inform mcFurbish about this change of ownership. Please note that any warranty extensions are non-transferable and are applicable to the original buyer only.

Please note that mcFurbish reserves the right to charge €25 for delivery costs if the warranty is voided or if "Find My iPhone" feature remains enabled.
